Below, I am sharing some background information with you, about my journey.

     I was a hairstylist and I owned my own salon.  One day, as I was cutting hair, I asked a client of mine if he would teach me how to give Therapeutic Touch, something he practiced. He turned, looked at me and said, “Susan, you give therapeutic touch every time you do a shampoo and haircut.”

     Also, I taught a Hairstyling Apprenticeship Program from 1991 to 2008. In my classroom, a few of my students came to class totally stressed out from working part-time jobs and going to school at the same time. Sensing this, I would ask them to sit down so I could “smooth their feathers” and I would do some smoothing movements from the tops of their heads down to their feet. They were always more relaxed afterwards. Just another form of Energy Healing.

     Knowing my desire to help others in this way, my friends often asked me if I was ever going to take courses in Reiki: it never interested me. It just didn’t seem like a good fit for me.

     In 2005, I became a Certified Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming, completed training in Practitioner Timeline Therapy and completed Hypnotherapist Certification Training. But most importantly, at one of the trainings, I was introduced to HUNA.   Now this “Huna” spoke to me!

      Basically, Huna is about empowerment; increasing your spirituality, your energy and metaphysical healing powers.

In 2008, I went to the Big Island of Hawaii to take my first course in Huna.

On the first day there, I travelled around the entire island with a friend in a rental car, and one of the stops was the Akaka Falls National State Park. It was there that I had a moment of “Oh My Gosh … I’m Home”.  It truly felt like I had come home. The feeling was indescribable as tears streamed down my face. And this was my first ever visit to Hawaii!!

(Later I learned that I have an ethereal Hawaiian Healer ‘Kahuna’ Guide always with me. I call him my Big Huna Kahuna.)

After a time, I got myself together, went back to the car and soon found the condo I was to stay in for the next while.

     I loved the Big Island, and it was amazing to spend time there! I learned and felt so much. Through the course, I learned several Huna Symbols which I could then use to really help people. In addition, I also learned the technique of Ho’oponopono.

A few months later, I completed my training by taking another course in Huna and was then initiated into the full Huna practice.

     In the summer of 2013, I took a Master Healing Course in Lily Dale, New York from Tom Cratsley. I had so much fun learning how to use my voice for energy healing, as well as many other healing modalities.  All this too, had a huge impact on me and I realized that I had begun to use my intuition in my healing sessions.

     In 2015, I went to Maui for two weeks with a friend and we visited many of the spiritual places on the Island. WOW! Once again, it was spectacular!  On one occasion at the ‘Heiau’ – the Sacred Healing Space on the mountain - I was given the message to call upon the Ancestors of Maui for their support in using my intuition during healing sessions. This gave me more confidence to use my new way of giving energy sessions.

     Today, I give Energy Sessions using both the Huna Symbols and my intuition as needed to comfort the person I’m working with. Together after a conversation, I help release negative energies stuck in their body; or just to help them relax and enjoy some loving energy.  I AM so very grateful that I can help people find the healing and comfort they are looking for.
